I started hunting at 10 years old with a .410 shotgun. I hunted partridge, rabbits, and deer. As I got older, I switched to a 20 gauge, then a 30-06. My first deer was a 5 pointer. My best deer got me into the Maine Sportsman’s Big Buck club, a 205 pound ten-pointer. My closest deer was a 163 pound doe at four yards.
I’ve been bowhunting for 14 years. I started with inexpensive equipment and very little knowledge. My best year with a bow has been a three deer harvest. I work at Central Maine Archery as a bow technician. My daughter and I shoot tournaments and leagues, and I enjoy that she shares my passion. |
